The course on Medieval History covered the fall of the Roman Empire and traced the subsequent rise of new power structures. We then delved into the collision of the Renaissance and Reformation, track the resulting religious and political turmoil, and examines the divisions between church and state in the 17th Century. We completed readings from St. Augustine, Aquinas, Luther, Calvin, Locke and Hobbes.
